About Us - Beth Mast

Personal Statement

As an Occupational Therapist I have specialized in pediatrics with 15 years serving children ages 0-18.  I have worked in clinics, schools and provided in home services to a varied population of kiddos.  I have experience and continuing education in Sensory Integration, feeding and oral motor disorders, neuromuscular disorders, genetic disorders and autism.

As a Pilates instructor I have worked for 6 years in the craft with a special interest in individuals with health or physical challenges and children.  I worked hundreds of hours for my certification and have continuing education and experience with low back pain, joint replacements, tone issues, neuromuscular disorders, chronic pain, scoliosis, pregnancy, osteoporosis, and cancer.  I am facinated with movement and love to educate people on the importance of biomechanical health!  I also love working with children...

Personally, I live in Irvington with my son, husband and 2 dogs.  Being an upper extremity amputee and a breast cancer survivor I have used Pilates extensively to gain symmetry and strength in my upper body and to rehab from a variety of surgeries and treatments.  I enjoy teaching people about how their body moves resulting in an awareness they never noticed.  The way we move tells our life stories; our injuries and pain, our lifestyle choices and activities, and even our culture.  If you want further credentials or references please do not hesitate to ask.
