Zero Balancing
Our flagship modality is Zero Balancing. We want the whole world to know about it! Zero Balancing is focused on the bones – the deepest part of the body. Our owner, Laura Lea, says, “It’s like getting a massage, acupuncture, meditating and talking to your best friend all at once. After a ZB, a person often feels taller, more grounded, more centered and well – more balanced and in his/her body.”
What is Zero Balancing?
“There comes a time when an individual becomes irresistible and his action becomes all-pervasive in its effect.
This comes when he reduces himself to zero.” -Mahatma Gandhi
Wouldn’t it be great if you could reset yourself back to zero? Well, Zero Balancing offers you that possibility. Zero Balancing (ZB) is powerful touch therapy for body and mind. Deeply relaxing and energizing, ZB touches your core, at the level of bone, to promote wellness and balance. A ZB session will leave you feeling grounded, balanced and energized. It enables your own energy to flow in stronger, clearer ways helping you to feel more like yourself and more at home in your body. A ZB session will make you feel even more alive and connected.

What to Expect at Zero Balancing Session
A ZB session begins with a discussion of your current state of health and goals for your ZB treatment. Goals may range from decreasing stress or pain to improving sleep, improving digestion or increasing energy levels.
You will first sit and then lie on your back, fully clothed, on the massage table. Your body will be assessed for tension, particularly tension held in the bones and joints. Your Zero Balance practitioner will place gentle finger pressure or traction called fulcrums into areas around the spine, ribs, hips, feet and neck to support the body, allowing it to deeply relax and release held tension in these areas. Often times, people will sink into a deep meditative state.
Walking after the session is the best way walk to integrate the work and gives you an opportunity to notice any shifts that might have taken place during the session. You may leave with a new sense of self and well-being. Sessions may take several days to integrate and fully reveal all shifts that have taken place. Wear loose-fitting clothing and bring a pair of socks. Please do not wear jeans or tank tops. Socks are needed to allow the therapist to be able to hold and place very specific fulcrums into the bones and ligaments of the feet.
“I have learned and experienced many types bodywork over the years, but when I found Zero Balancing – it felt like I had come home. In my experience, ZB helps a person deepen their relationship with self on a profound and powerful level more quickly and more completely than other modalities.
Bone tired. Bone cold. Bones are deep, and they feel deep. And when you feel your bones completely relaxed, it is amazing. You feel deeply relaxed and profoundly energized at the same time.
A client comes in super stressed out and tense, tense, tense, and they leave feeling totally relaxed, open and rejuvenated. It’s like going from 60 mph to 0 in just under an hour.” – Laura Lea Sweney
