    Hello and Welcome!  

    We are so glad you have arrived. I am passionate about Irvington Wellness Center and my work here. We are constantly striving to build community and bring innovative and  cutting-edge wellness opportunities to Irvington.

    We are working on programs like Walking Buddies to bring people together to walk in the neighborhood. We are working to make the whole neighborhood healthier and to increase each person’s sense of well-being. We have Celebrate Kale Day, house -plant and seed exchanges. It’s your life- and we are here to help you live it to the fullest.

    I have been a manual therapist for over 30 years, and still work diligently to hone these skills, taking classes and keeping up to date with current wellness practices. That’s why we can offer Zero Balancing, Cranio-sacral Therapy, Lymphatic Massage Therapy, Manual Brain Therapy work, Bach Flower floral acupuncture, and Brain Tap Therapies.

  • Massage Therapist

    Originally from Mexico’s southern Pacific region, Teresa Hermosillo is a devoted wife, mother of three, and proud grandmother of one—with another grandkid on the way. She enjoys spending time outdoors on walks, watching foreign films, and finding peace in quiet moments of prayer.

    With nearly 18 years of experience in the medical field—first as a medical assistant and now for over seven years as a licensed massage therapist—Teresa brings a unique blend of clinical knowledge and ancestral wisdom to her practice. Her great-grandfather and grandmother were traditional healers who used herbal remedies and therapeutic massage to treat broken bones, sprains, and other ailments. Teresa continues this lineage with deep respect, guided by intuition to sense areas in the body that need healing and attention.

    She specializes in deep tissue, relaxation, and prenatal massage, offering each client a personalized, holistic experience that supports both physical and emotional well-being. Her work is rooted in compassion, tradition, and a commitment to helping others feel restored and renewed.

  • TaiChi and QiGong Instructor

    LinDel Sandlin has been teaching tai chi and qigong meditation for over 13 years and personally practicing them for over 36. She combines these Eastern energy practices with crystal, sound, and shamanic healing techniques for people seeking alternative methods of healing and self-care. She also facilitates Full Moon Yoga & Shamanic Sound Healing group events; and Sacred Cacao Drum Circles.

  • Yoga Instructor

    Gaynell, E-RYT 500, brings to her teaching a unique mix of teaching and life experience. She teaches Innerspace Vinyasa Flow, Broga and also lead meditation classes. She is a student of Tibetan Buddhism since 2007 and gratefully receives teachings from the Indiana Buddhist Center. She has been teaching Vinyasa yoga and Yoga of 12 Step Recovery (Y12SR) in Indianapolis and Cozumel, Mexico in English and Spanish since 2009.

    In addition to her Irvington Wellness Center classes, she taught two Y12SR classes at Tara Treatment Center for six and a half years.  She also teaches at Hickory House Treatment Center. Gaynell was part of a Veteran’s Administration research team, with Nancy Schalk Connor to study the efficacy of yoga for PTSD and is part of the ‘Yes to Vets’ teaching team providing free yoga classes for veterans. She has also taught ‘Opening Yoga to Everyone’, an adaptive yoga practice for people with physical disabilities at Pilates Indy.

    Savanah Strever originally discovered yoga as a way to manage back pain caused by scoliosis, but quickly grew to appreciate not only the positive impact on her physical body, but also her mind and soul. She pursued her first yoga training in 2015.

    As a teacher, Savanah especially loves getting to know her students and designing a practice around specific issues and pains so that they are able to live their best lives through the use of yoga. She offers an easy-going teaching style with gentle modifications along the way. She enjoys creating an inviting space by encouraging students to laugh and smile, while listening and responding to their body’s needs.

    Mary had been practicing yoga for over 25 years and considered herself an “unregistered” experienced teacher before studying the eight limbs of yoga and completing the 200 hour Immersion and Hatha teacher training at Evolutions Yoga to become a registered yoga teacher (RYT) with the Yoga Alliance. Mary experienced the true calling to teach yoga after spending time at the Self Realization Fellowship founded by Paramahansa Yogananda (Autobiography of a Yogi) in Encinitas, CA.

  • Yoga Instructor

    Susan Baggarly is a Certified Yoga Instructor, 200 Hours, National Yoga Alliance. She completed her training in 2010 at Peace through Yoga with Sally Brown Bassett. Yoga practice has been her friend since 1968 when she took her first Hatha yoga class at a YMCA in St. Paul, Minnesota, with her sleeping bag as her mat. Her teacher was an inspiration. In 2008, she visited Rishikish, India for the International Yoga Festival. This trip changed her life and increased her passion for yoga and yoga philosophy.

  • Energy Medicine Yoga Teacher

    Kendra’s approach to sharing yoga is rooted in sharing ancient, healing wisdom that connects one with self, others, and a higher power. Her classes are dynamic—fusing vinyasa, energetic, and restorative styles. Her latest studies include certifications from LoveYourBrain to help people who’ve experienced traumatic brain injury, Ayurvedic Health Counseling, Reiki attunement, and Y12SR (Yoga of 12-Step Recovery). Kendra is a multi-passionate creative, designer, and marketer who loves working with mission-focused brands. She is a cat and husky mama and loves adventuring outdoors.

  • Yoga Teacher

    Emily’s career path began as an elementary teacher, spending 13 years in the classroom. After receiving her yoga certification from Invoke Studio in 2016, she integrated the practice of yoga with her students. She wanted to expand her yoga teachings to reach more people, so she taught yoga around Indianapolis to children and adults.

    In 2019 she followed her heart from Indianapolis to Los Angeles!  Out west Emily shared her yoga in elementary schools, nursing homes, weekly community yoga classes in the park, and at the beach.  Emily broadened her yoga base by getting certified in Prenatal Yoga, Yoga Therapy, and Mindfulness for Educators.  She was featured twice in the LA Times for her Griffith Park yoga classes, and featured in Los Angeles Entrepreneur Magazine for Top 25 Yoga Influencers. 

    She returned to Indy with her young family in May!  Her classes are designed for all abilities, linking breath with movement.  Yoga has changed her life in so many positive ways and she’s passionate to share this practice with you.

    When Emily’s not on her mat she’s chasing her two-year-old son Banks with her husband Ben around Irvington. She enjoys being out in nature, and is excited to be back in the Midwest!

  • Selfcare, safe, inclusive, lifechanging, exhilarating, and fun. Just a few words that come to mind when I think about Irvington Wellness Center.

    I’m so excited to be here with so many extraordinary people. I have decades of experience in administration, management, organization, planning, and customer service. I love my kids, family and friends, meeting new people, discovering new things, theatre and spending time outdoors.

    This is my Renaissance (retirement) passion project. I will be doing something that I gratefully and joyfully want to do.

    I am deeply honored to be part of the Irvington Wellness Center family, a place where healing, curiosity, and community intertwine. Every day here feels like an invitation to return to what matters most: connection, presence, and wonder.

    What excites me most about this work is how expansive it is. Whether I’m supporting someone through emotional regulation, helping them reconnect with their breath, or simply holding space, there’s always something magical unfolding. Watching people remember their own power and inner harmony is the heartbeat of what I do.

    My favorite thing about teaching is witnessing the quiet shifts: the softened shoulders, the deepened breath, the “oh…”when something lands. I love creating spaces where people of all ages can feel safe enough to explore, wobble, and grow. Teaching, for me, is like tending a garden: equal parts patience, love, and awe.

    One of my favorite offerings at Irvington is co-facilitating Full Moon Yin Yoga + Shamanic Sound, a deeply intentional ceremony where yin shapes and sacred sound weave together to create space for release, reflection, and restoration. It’s a monthly ritual that invites the body to soften, the heart to open, and the nervous system to return to its natural rhythm.

    I’m a 500-hour certified yoga teacher, CYT, with additional certifications in Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga. My work is rooted in nervous system-informed approaches and trauma-aware teaching. I believe in accessible, heart-led practices that invite the whole self to the mat: body, mind, energy, and spirit.

    Outside the studio, you’ll find me wandering in the woods, dancing in the kitchen, singing to my dog Pickles, or geeking out over tiny homes..

    I believe in joy as a practice, in grief as sacred, and in showing up human and whole.

    And I believe in the power of this place, Irvington Wellness Center, to be a sanctuary for it all.
