Zero Balancing

Zero Balancing - the flagship modality of Irvington Wellness Center.

ZB can help a person feel grounded, yet expanded - energized, yet calm.

Is it magic?

Is it palpable quantum physics?

Is it marrying potential wave forms and vibrational patterns to possibilities and then stepping into them? What happens in our body when our bones, our full skeleton experiences piezoelectric effects aligned with mindful attention?

Come and find out for yourself!

"It's like getting a massage, acupuncture, meditating and talking to your best friend all at once. You have opportunity to be "less well-held" to who you think you are. After a ZB, a person often feels taller, more grounded, more centered and well - more balanced - and in his/her body."

"And yes, it is quite magical, and we really don't know why/how it works so fast and so well. More stuff is going on than we consciously know."

Brain Therapy 60 min

We are please to offer manual brain therapy based on the work of Bruno Chikly.

Your brain is one of the most profound, complex and sensitive organs of the body, yet is has long been overlooked in manual therapy.

Until recently the brain was untouched territory, and many disorders that are not treatable were left un addressed. The brain therapy techniques developed by Dr. Bruno Chikly, founder of the Chikly Health Institute works on all aspects of the nervous system and its associated structures. These gentle, non-invasive yet powerful treatments have opened new possibilities and restored hope for numerous clients.

Dr. Chikly's brain therapy is an advanced technique that uses an original paradigm. It moves beyond concentrating on the movement of the cranial bones and. membranes and works extensively with the brain tissue (parenchyma) grey and white matter to specifically support proper brain function.

Your central. nervous system (CNS) controls most function n the body and produces numerous chemicals that interact with the whole body consciousness.

The brain is an "intelligent" tissue that responds to subtle information communicated through specialized, trained touch.

The brain also has an enormous capacity for plasticity. "Plasticity" is a term used by neuroscientists, referring to the brain's ability to change at any age. A few areas of the brain even produce new brain cells every day (neoneurogenesis.)

Dr. Chikly has designed and developed extremely gentle highly refined and efficient techniques to treat nervous system pathologies. Brain Therapy practitioners can help patients of all ages, and specifically those with brain and spinal related pathologies including:

  • Back or spine-related pain

  • Closed head injury/traumatic brain injury (TBI)

  • Cognitive/behavioral. dysfunction

  • Dementia

  • Headaches

  • Postural problems

  • Post-meningitis syndrome, post - polio syndroms

  • PTSD

  • Stroke

In children, these techniques can also be helpful for many conditions including

  • ADD/ADHD

  • Auditory, visual or vestibular processing

  • Birth difficulties or trauma

  • Cerebral palsy

  • Dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, dyspraxia

  • Learning disabilities

  • Poor postural control

  • Problems with focus and concentration

  • Sensory integration dysfunctions

  • Speech development disorders

The importance of including the brain in a comprehensive treatment should not be underestimated. A. therapist trained in Brain Therapy can most often treat not only the physical symptoms, but the primary cause of physical dysfunction. This. refined and specialized therapy opens us to a new level of understanding and healing of the nervous system.

Your Amazing Brain!

The brain is a remarkable organ that comprises approximately:

  • 2% of our body weight while utilizing 40% of our body's nutrients

  • 30% of its water and 25% of the. blood flow

  • 100 billion neurons consisting of a quadrillion (1,000,000,000,000,000) connections between them

These numbers clearly illustrate that the body goes to extraordinary lengths to ensure that the brain sustains impeccable, strategic communication with every cell, organ and system of our body.

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system, which has been shown to improve the functioning of the central nervous system, as well as many other systems of the body, such as digestive, musculoskeletal, respiratory, circulatory, and more. CST has also been shown to help with the physical components related to such somatic conditions as Post Traumatic Stress, depression and anxiety.

By facilitating the body's natural and innate healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and has been shown to be beneficial for people seeking help with a wide range of healthcare challenges and symptoms.

Session will include Brain Tap work incorporating breathwork and pelvic floor exercises. Clients will also have time on the Equasizer (Horse) to open the hips and increase hip mobiblity.

Finally core strength will also be addressed through foam roller and neuromuscular re-eduation exercises.

Ride the Horse

Time spent on an Equicizer horse can help strengthen pelvic floor and abdominal muscles by engaging the rider's core and encouraging a neutral, stable pelvic position.

Unlike a motorized simulator, the mechanical Equicizer moves based on the rider's effort, which requires constant, subtle muscular adjustments to maintain balance and posture.

Core engagement and stability

The dynamic, three-dimensional movement of the Equicizer activates and strengthens the deep core muscles, including the transverse abdominis, obliques, and lumbar muscles.

  • Balance control: To stay seated and balanced, a rider must continually adjust to the machine's movement. This forces the deep stabilizer muscles of the abdomen and spine to engage, improving overall core stability.

  • Muscle memory: Regular practice on the Equicizer builds muscle memory for maintaining a strong and stable core, which is essential for both posture and effective athletic movement.
